Hi there, I go by the name Biz and I've been active online since 2013. I make electronic music and silly videos.
I began uploading videos to YouTube in October 2013. Inspired by my favourite channels, Ethoslab and The Yogscast, the first year of my channel was dedicated to Minecraft and Don't Starve. After a year-and-a-half hiatus, I returned as an existential and edgy 16-year-old making raucous and sometimes mean-spirited videos about whatever. Most of these are thankfully now lost to time. This new form of video eventually morphed into what I do now (2021-present), which is occasionally uploading stupid skits and short, light-hearted exposés. In early March 2026, my channel finally passed 1000 subscribers, which was huge milestone for me!
I've been consistently making music since mid 2017. My very earliest songs were comedic and intentionally bad parody rap songs, but that quickly evolved into me enjoying the process of creation and making music I actually liked. From then on until mid 2023, I made several albums and EPs under the alias Wers. My music during this period was heavily inspired by French House acts like Justice, Mr. Oizo, and SebastiAn. After a year hiatus, I switched to releasing under my more known name, Biz, and returned with a new debut EP, BIZ001. Everything since then can be found on my Bandcamp page, or read about on the music page of this site.
My other biggest hobby is playing Minecraft, as I've dedicated thousands of hours to that game over the past 16 years. My creations and worlds probably deserve a huge section on this website but that'll take me a while to get to. I've felt quite burnt out of the game in recent years and I'm currently trying to detox. For now, you can check out the in-depth retrospective of my history with the game I made in 2023, to mark the tenth anniversary of my original Let's Play series. Also, this world tour showcasing everything I built in the world since ending the series.
Since 2019 and 2020, I've been active in the Boards of Canada and Autechre fandoms. In fact my most well-known creation is the Average Boards of Canada Fan video, which has so far amassed over 55,000 views. Most days you can find me chatting in the boc-centered The Magic Window discord server. For the ae community, in 2023 I launched aepages.org, a fan-run wiki site for Autechre. I mainly just keep the backend running, the vast majority of the site's content was written by other fans.
I'm also very active in the furry community, as you can see in the photo above. I consider myself to have been a furry since 2016 but I only finally made a fursona and joined the fandom in February 2024! My fursona is a North American River Otter. I commissioned a fursuit in February 2026 from Dragon's Den Fursuits. So far I've been to two annual VancouFur conventions, and I have many future cons I plan to attend!
This website is a little harder to describe. I've been wanting to make a personal website since at least August 2019 but have procrastinated learning HTML. However, basically on a whim, I finally launched this site on 2026-04-02! I'm still not exactly sure what this site is for, other than being a handy place to list out my projects and hobbies. I've been making personal lists and spreadsheets for years and many of them would be great fodder for new pages on here. I'm also very interested in the concept of a digital garden and I feel that's an apt description, given how much I rewrite and rearrange this site's content. I hope to upkeep and add to this site for the rest of my life!
