My Minecraft World

Isometric rendering from 2023 but is mostly still up to date.

Welcome to an overview of my main Minecraft survival world! I've had dozens of worlds since I started playing in late 2010, but this world - created in September 2013 - is the one I've spend by far the most time in.

This page features a timeline of the major builds and backups of this world.

For details on what was built in the world during 2013 to 2018, I recommend checking out my old Let's Play series.

2013

A-frame House (2019-01-03)

A random house in the snowy tundra, built next to a frozen lake between two hills. Not much to this project, I just felt like building a house in this spot.

A Big Tree (2019-10-19)

A large, custom tree. These have always been fun to build, and I should do more of them. They're an easy way to add detail to an area.

2019-10-16 [1.14.4] backup

Lone Blacksmith (2019-12-30)

After the 1.14 update overhauled village designs, I rebuilt the classic blacksmith as a tribute to the best village building.

Guardian Farm (2019-12-30)

I first scouted the ocean monument and began building the sand perimeter in May 2019, but the bulk of the work on finishing the guardian farm was done over a few days in late December. It's a pretty standard design, but it's the first time I had built a guardian farm.

Later, in October 2020, I added a slab roof design to spawn proof the top and complete the build's design.

The Spire (2020-05-16)

Started in August 2018 and worked on intermittently until May 2020. This self-sustaining structure's many unique farms, storage areas, and crafting stations make it a one-stop shop for any project. Built in the former location of the original floating island and designed to be the centerpiece of the walled area.

Volcano (2020-05-31)

A mountain nearby the spire I had planned to turn into an erupting volcano as far back as September 2013. for added scenic variety, I included redstone that randomly toggles the flowing lava.

2020-11-30 [1.16.4] backup

Squid Inc (2020-12-01)

A medium capacity squid farm built from a straight portion of a river. The surrounding area was terraformed to make the filled-in river not stand out. A rare project beyond the walled area. Work began in mid October 2020.

Super Smelter (V1) (2020-12-17)

A massive, bamboo powered, 46 furnace array that can intake stacks of items and return the smelted products continuously. Getting the build to be function took several design overhauls and a lot of head scratching. I started building this in September 2020.

The Walls (2021-01-14)

The original 1.6.4 terrain has been completely walled in to mask the harsh terrain change that 1.7.1 brought with its overhauled generation. This area denotes what I consider to be my base, with most of my building efforts being within the walls. I started working on the walls in January 2019 and worked on them sporatically until January 2021. Most of the work was terraforming to make the landscape consistent on both sides of the borders. In some places, entire mountains had to be razed.

2021-01-14 [1.16.4] backup

Ice Tray (2021-04-11)

A classic staggered piston ice farm design. Intially built to harvest ice for my ice road nether hub project. Despite being quite redstone-heavy, this was built in a single day. Luckly the design is pretty simple if repetitive.

2021-04-10 [1.16.5] backup

2021-05-14 [1.16.5] backup

The Highways (2021-06-26)

Four directional, raised roads stretching out from the spire to the edges of the walls. These don't serve a real purpose other than segmenting the world into quadrants, but they certainly look cool. Construction began in March 2019, and were worked on periodically until June 2021 when I finally built the end caps to transition the roads into the outer walls

Crashed Island Oasis (2021-07-01)

It seems that, over time, the crashed island from the original singleplayer base has formed a lush oasis amongst the ruins of the house.

2021-07-20 [1.17.1] backup

Nether Hub (2021-09-17)

The central transportation network for the entire world. The bulk of the digging and construction was done in July 2021, but the detailing work and massive amounts of redstone were added in mid September 2021, which finally made it functional.

Spawn Pad (2021-09-21)

A simple, safe pad marking the spawn chunks. Featuring four full beacons and retractable steps to keep the player completely safe. Also the main entrance to the central Nether Hub portals.

Spawn Museum (2021-09-30)

A building to house rare and unique items, blocks, mobs, and treasures. Construction began in December 2019 but was put on hold until late September 2021, where it was worked on intently to completion. The lower level's collection of mobs from many biomes and dimensions took straight days of work.

2021-09-17 [1.17.1] backup

Zig Zag Wheat Farm (2021-10-11)

A simple, auto-harvesting wheat farm. Built over a few days. I needed a lot of wheat, but in the end I think the building is cooler than the farm's functionality.

Mushified Spire Island (2021-11-14)

A fungal infection has taken over all plant and most animal life on the Spire's island. The island is now spawn-proof, using end rods as stems for custom medium-sized mushrooms.

2021-11-20 [1.17.1] backup

Wither Skeleton Farm (2021-12-01)

A simple design for gathering wither skeleton skulls. The surrounding area was spawn-proofed with cobblestone slabs to improve wither skeleton spawn rates. Started in October 2021. The farm also features an accompanying Blaze farm.

2021-12-04 [1.17.1] backup

2022

2022-01-29 - outer chunks are deleted to have 1.18 terrain close to base

Gold and Iron Pyramids (2022-02-19)

Pretty simply designed pyramids in the southern design. Each tipped with a full beacon made of gold and iron respectively.

Bulk Vault (2022-02-22)

A massive, secure area to store exclusively full shulker boxes of bulk items. Everything is locked behind a giant copper vault door.

2022-02-28 [1.18.1] backup

A terrible reed farm (2022-03-31)

A horribly inefficient reed farm. At least the building's exterior looks cool. It was also an excuse to clean up the landscape of the surrounding area.

Happy Bee Corp. + The Beeodome (2022-04-05)

A terribly inefficient but ethical bee farm next to a very efficient but very inhumane bee farm. I wonder with one I use more...

2022-04-08 [1.18.2] backup

Cookie Tree (2022-04-11)

The giant custom tree now features a cookie bakery amongst its branches. A simple, cute build to add a smidge more detail to the world.

Slime Farm (2022-05-14)

A simple slime chunk pad design with a killing chamber in a small surface building. Inefficient but not useless.

2022-06-07 [1.18.2] backup

Jungle Desertification (2022-08-01)

Major terraforming for the area surrounding the Spire. After clearing the jungle biome, surface grass was replaced with sand to make a continuous desert up to the river. Worked on throughout July 2022. In March 2023, the jungle temple was converted to sandstone to make it thematic.

Super Smelter (V2) (2022-08-06)

I completely overhauled the redstone system to better handle the smelting, as well as a hugely expanded bamboo farm to feed it with even more fuel. the bamboo is now bottled into shulker boxes for compact storage, and unboxed when the system needs more fuel.

The Skyliner (2022-08-13)

A supertall tower built as a monument to the new 1.18 build height. Construction began in May 2022 but I procrastinated finishing the design until August 2022.

Diamond Island (2022-08-14)

Given how post-game my world is, I decided I no longer needed to mine diamond ore. Instead, I decided to pile them all in one place. In December 2024, I added more bridges connecting the island and a pixel art diamond statue.

End Hole (2022-08-26)

An interdimensional rift eating away at the surrounding landscape. Since I travel everywhere by elytra, I figured having the end portal easily accessible from the sky would be a no-brainer.

Gold Pyramid Interior (2022-08-27)

A classic adventure map-feeling room with secrets and challenges for those seeking treasure.

Equidistance Tower (2022-08-28)

A third tower to monument the original Minecraft build height, built equally spaced away from the Spire and the Skyliner to form an ascending line of towers.

2022-08-29 [1.19] backup

Wellmart (2022-09-24)

A handy place to buy wells. Built because a friend said my world needed more wells and I was in the mood for some malicious compliance.

2022-10-15 [1.19.2] backup

2023

Maze (2023-01-01)

A simple hedge maze that contains its own design in its center. Designing the pattern out of stairs took quite a while, especially with how connecting stairs can be a pain.

Rain Temple (2023-01-01)

An oversized jungle temple that nearly depleted my dungeon-acquired mossy cobblestone supply. Legend has it, rain causes the temple to supply its worshippers with plentiful water.

Abandoned Church + Crypt Castle (2023-02-26)

A long abandoned church, frozen in time in the tundra. The courtyard features an even-more forgotten crypt hiding a dark secret... Built throughout February 2023.

2023-02-26 [1.19.2] backup

World Reed Center (2023-03-15)

A massive scale automatic reed farm. The exterior was built in December 2022, and the internal farm components were completed in March 2023. Later, in December 2024, a simple on/off switch was added to the farm to prevent ongoing lag and storage issues.

Ice Cave (2023-03-17)

A simple terrain detail extending into the volcano, under the west highway. In reality this was a small excuse to fix some craggily bare stone along the highway, and to clean up the edges of the frozen lake.

Shoveled Snow Road 2023-03-21)

Gone are the hundreds of ugly lampposts keeping the paths clear of snow. Now the paths through the tundra appear shoveled and lowered.

Skull Cove (2023-03-25)

What lies beyond the skull, and how are you granted entry? In reality there's nothing inside it because I couldn't think of anything cool to put there...

0,0 Monument (2023-03-31)

A simple spiralling statue marking the 0,0 coordinates. I'm sure something more grand could be built here eventually but this works for the time being.

2023-04-26 - outer chunks are deleted and the world is merged with 2021-05-14 [1.16.5] backup because the 1.18 terrain sucks

2023-04-26 [1.19.4] backup

Brick Grotto (2023-05-12)

Every world needs an ugly brick thing. A small, purely decorative area just off the eastern highway and marked by a broken path through the trees.

The Colosseum (2023-05-21)

A large but farily simple design for a Roman Colosseum-inspired battle area. I actually designed this building sometime in 2015 in a creative world, but never used it anywhere until now.

Sunken Swamp (2023-07-29)

One of the largest projects I've ever completed in Minecraft. An entire swamp biome terraformed and redesigned. Now featuring waterfalls, steep cliffs, spider-laden trees, and a secret cave. I started digging in October 2022 and finished in March 2023. Then, landscaping and decorating the area took until July 2023.

Pig Manor (2023-09-24)

Built and designed off the cuff over just 2 days. A large wood and stone mansion with some additional terraforming to the nearby mountain terrain to further support the house. Named Pig Manor due to the unexplained large population of pigs surroundin the house. The build is only an exterior as I didn't feel like decorating the inside and I probably never will. There isn't even a way inside the building.

2023-11-04 [1.20.2] backup

2024

Wedge Farm (2024-01-29)

A simple, decorative farm property based on a base I built in 2014. This area was previously a barren, lumpy, and awkward piece of plains biome between two branching paths. I think this farm fills the space quite nicely!

A Random House (2024-05-19)

This felt like a nice spot to built a river-side house, and so I built one here. I think a fun project would be to expand this area with a whole city of "vibe houses" where I just build off the cuff with no plan.

2024-05-19 [1.20.4] backup

2024-05-19 - installed anti-enderman griefing datapack

2024-09-12 [1.21.1] backup

Super Smelter (V3) (2024-09-14)

The internals of the super smelter are once again gutted and redone. The overcomplicated bamboo bottling system is replaced with the newly added crafters, to turn the bamboo into the much more efficient bamboo planks, which is stored in a large cascading series of chests.

2024-11-25 - enabled keepinventory gamerule

2024-12-29 [1.21.4] backup

2025

A Random Castle (2025-05-04)

I wanted to build a castle on this hill and so I did. I think the second layer looks pretty bad and I'd like to redo it eventually.

Crashed Island Restoration + New Oasis (2025-06-19)

The crashed island oasis is drained of water and plant life is removed, to return the build to a "crashed wreckage" aesthetic, and a new oasis is built elsewhere in the desert. This new oasis isn't very detailed and I think i'd like to add more to it eventually.

Biodome (2025-07-01)

My classic, 2011 design Model House inside an offshore glass dome. Construction began in March 2022, but it sat unfinished for multiple years because I couldn't decide what to put inside it.

The Library (2025-07-28)

This building will eventually house and organize all my enchanted books. The library features a classic brick and quartz pillar exterior. For now the interior is unfinished.

A Snowy Mountain (2025-08-17)

Previously awkward, craggly terrain is cleaned up and made into a small snowy peak, featuring tunnels and bridges to connect paths on three sides of the mountain.

2025-10-18 [1.21.10] backup

2026

Iron Pyramid Interior (2026-02-22)

Four years after the exterior was built, the iron pyramid gets decorated. Featuring an above ground zombie spawner in the very center of the structure. Turn off the lights to start an endless zombie battle! I finally started work on this in October 2025 but took several months off from playing before finishing it up in February 2026.
