About

This is an EP about travelling, expression, home, identity, and stability.

Production History

In the first half of February, I made three of the tracks (Refracted, Latticing, and Coquihalla). Then, in mid March, I made two more (Breakshape and Flyby). All these songs were unconnected until 2026-03-26, when I arranged the songs into a potential EP tracklist.

Immediately, the tracks' similar feelings of melancholy, hope, and bliss melded together for a cohesive listen. The following day, after hours of brainstorming, I settled on the name "Further" to connect these songs together.

In early April, I got into contact with Raf (leggy2fast) about my idea for a close-up portrait of my fursona's face. After just a few days and a few adjustments, the artwork was completed!

Then, I didn't do anything with this release for many months. In the interim, my other EP, Accidental, released on the netlabel Fur To The Floor Records, on 2026-05-22.

Finally, in early August, I felt it was time to get Further released and once again asked niski to master the EP. They had previewed the tracks months prior and showed interest.

After a few minor adjustments to the tracks' mixes to supplement the masters, Latticing was largely overhauled and expanded. It was finally re-finished on 2026-09-13. Mastering was completed a week later.

The EP released without announcement on 2026-09-25.
